Akoesticum

We are Akoesticum, the first and only training center for music, dance, and theater in the Netherlands.

Akoesticum is located in the former Johan Willem Frisokazerne, which was built in 1906. We are a contemporary location with a rich history. You find us at a stone’s throw from the Ede-Wageningen train station and the Veluwe nature reserve. With 12 rehearsal rooms, overnight accommodation, and our own catering service, Akoesticum is the ideal place for multi-day rehearsals, try-outs, training courses, meetings, and events.

We are a sanctuary for performing artists to come together, rehearse, learn, create, experiment, innovate, and inspire each other. This location offers tranquility and space, where the growth and development of performing artists is central and where creative collaborative processes flourish beyond the issues of everyday live. It is an open house and meeting place for artists and audiences of all ages and cultures; a cultural breeding ground where inspiring encounters and artistic exchange result in surprising art forms and performances.
