Palazzo Jacini

Palazzo Jacini in Casalbuttano began as a residence adjoining the spinning mill until the last century owned by the family. The side on Via Jacini is listed in the Teresian land register and probably dates from the 17th century, while the left and front wings were built later. The Empire furnishings of the rooms nearest the street date from the Cisalpine Republic and have remained identical to those in the family portrait (with little Stephen, future minister of the Kingdom of Italy in 1860-66), while Biedermeier furniture has since appeared on the first floor and in the wing facing the garden faux-Gothic frescoes on the walls. The garden has a pond in the center, which also served as a water reservoir for the spinning mill, and a large lemon grove at the end.
